Jeremy D. Frey, a partner with the firm, has been named to the Rising Star list. The list is compiled annually and made up of attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less, who were nominated by their peers. Attorneys are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action — whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation.
Anastasi is a patent attorney and chairs the firm's Intellectual Property Law Group. He counsels clients on all aspects of intellectual property, including domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution and intellectual property litigation. He prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications in the electrical and electromechanical arts including communication systems, control systems, optics, software, business methods and Internet-related technologies, and also prepares and prosecutes trademark applications. Sal litigates intellectual property matters and prepares licensing agreements, patentability, trademark, validity and infringement opinions. Anastasi serves on the board of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation.
Craighead chairs the firm's Employment Law Group and concentrates her practice in the areas of labor and employment law. She regularly provides advice to employers on a myriad of employment issues and represents employers in employment-related litigation both at the administrative level and in federal court. Jennifer represents clients of all sizes and in all industries and is well versed in issues unique to manufacturing and the service sector and provides employment law expertise and litigation management services to a national retailer. In addition, she regularly represents hospitals, long term care facilities, and other health care institutions in employment issues unique to those settings. Jennifer also specializes in providing employment advice to colleges and universities. Among the many boards Jennifer serves on are the United Way of Lancaster County and the Lancaster County Community Foundation.
Mattson concentrates his law practice in civil litigation and health law. He has tried to verdict more than 100 jury trials in federal and state courts, and has been involved in numerous civil litigation matters involving antitrust and securities litigation, accounting malpractice, contract disputes, employment law disputes, eminent domain and enforcing restrictive covenants through injunctions, among others. Mattson also represents numerous hospitals, health organizations and health care providers, and has handled a substantial number of major antitrust cases involving healthcare issues. A significant part of his health law practice involves medical staff privileges and bylaws issues, contract disputes and risk management. He has also written and lectured extensively on many health care and litigation issues. He serves on the Lancaster Country Day School Board of Trustees and is a member of the Marine Corps League. Mattson also does volunteer work with veterans’ groups. He is a former chair of the YWCA of Lancaster’s Board of Trustees.
Frey focuses his practice in the areas of planning, negotiation and execution of business and real estate transactions, real estate development, land use and zoning matters, real estate assessment appeals, business and real estate financing, as well as business planning and immigration. In the real estate area, Jeremy has successfully represented numerous clients on zoning matters, has a broad knowledge of the Municipalities Planning Code, and has been involved in numerous successful land use and real estate assessment appeals (for both commercial and residential properties). Jeremy regularly advises clients in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, including the sale of hotel properties and the transfer of liquor licenses. Jeremy is also a licensed title agent for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. In the area of business transactions, Jeremy works with clients on stock and asset purchases and sales and mergers between various types of business entities. Jeremy has assisted businesses in purchases and sales ranging from under $1,000,000 to more than $100,000,000 and he has also assisted borrowers and lenders in many types of loan transactions. Jeremy's immigration law practice focuses primarily on employment and business matters, such as credentialing of foreign-born professionals and other workers. Jeremy serves on the board of the Adams-Hanover counseling service and the Hanover YMCA.
