On Tuesday, October 18, Barley Snyder attorney Jeremy Frey will be honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2011 Forty Under 40 award recipients for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community at an evening reception and awards program at Hilton Harrisburg from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This year marks the program’s 17th anniversary.
Jeremy is a partner with Barley Snyder and focuses his practice in the areas of planning, negotiation and execution of business and real estate transactions, real estate development, land use and zoning matters, real estate assessment appeals, business and real estate financing, as well as business planning and immigration.
In the real estate area, Jeremy has successfully represented numerous clients on zoning matters, has a broad knowledge of the Municipalities Planning Code, and has been involved in numerous successful land use and real estate assessment appeals. Jeremy regularly advises clients in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, including the sale of hotel properties and the transfer of liquor licenses. Jeremy is also a licensed title agent for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.
In the area of business transactions, Jeremy works with clients on stock and asset purchases and sales and mergers between various types of business entities. Jeremy has assisted businesses in purchases and sales ranging from under $1,000,000 to more than $100,000,000 and he has also assisted borrowers and lenders in many types of loan transactions.
Jeremy earned his B.A. from Dickinson College and his J.D. from American University. Jeremy is a graduate of Leadership York and serves on the board of Adams-Hanover Counseling Services, the Hanover Area Family YMCA. He served as Co-Chairman of the 2011 Annual Support Campaign for the YMCA and serves as a campaign member for the Hanover Hospital Cornerstone Society. Jeremy lives in Hanover with his wife and two children.
This year’s nominations for the Forty Under 40 program ended in late April. A panel of four judges, comprised of past award recipients, reviewed and scored the nominees to determine the top forty list. 2011 judges were Tonia Ulsh, Chief Operating Officer, Mountz Jewelers; Deepa Mehta Balepur, Principal/Partner, The Wolman Group and RE/MAX Associates of Lancaster County; Brian Wassell, Partner with Trout Ebersole Groff; and Joshua George, Associate, Site Design Concepts.
Following the event, Jeremy and the other award recipients will be featured in a special supplement to the October 21st edition of the Central Penn Business Journal. The list of winners will also appear in the 2012 Book of Lists publication.
