A federal jury in Baltimore, MD returned a verdict today in the case against members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, KS. Compensatory damages were awarded in the amount of $2.9 million on behalf of Mr. Snyder, father of Marine Lance Corporal Matthew A. Snyder. An additional $8 million was awarded in punitive damages.
