Reading, Pa. – Barley Snyder attorney Timothy P. Malloy has combined his love for animals and his passion for volunteer leadership work with his appointment to a seat on the board of directors at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.

The league is a nonprofit organization caring for nearly 5,000 animals each year to help them find a new home, or to help reunite them with their owners, according to its website. The league started in 1952, and beyond its shelter and adoption programs, it offers surrender prevention programs, low-cost veterinary services and clinics and outreach and education events throughout the county.

“The Berks ARL has a long history of helping not just animals, but also people throughout the region,” Malloy said. “It’s not just about adopting animals for them. It’s about finding the right fit for an animal with the right person. The ARL has been doing that for decades, and I’m proud to help guide the future of the organization.”

Malloy is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business, Securities, Mergers & Acquisitions, Finance & Creditors’ Rights, Tax, ESOP, Crisis Management, Banking and Health Care groups, and has been with the firm since 2014.

In addition to his work with the rescue league, he is a member of the board of directors at the South Mountain YMCA in Berks County. The Berks County native lives in Wyomissing with his family, which includes a bichon/Shih Tzu rescue pup named Roger.
