For Immediate Release
Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce the hire of Lauren D. Berkowitz as an immigration attorney at its Lancaster office.
Berkowitz worked as an immigration attorney in Philadelphia before returning to start her private immigration law practice in her hometown of Lancaster. The emphasis of her immigration practice is on employment-based visa matters.
“Being a part of Barley Snyder means being part of one of central Pennsylvania’s best immigration practices,” she said. “And with the robust offerings the firm’s Employment Practice Group possesses, it’s going to be a very big benefit for my clients. I am very happy to be part of the Barley Snyder team.”
Berkowitz is a Temple University Beasley School of Law graduate and has worked in the immigration law field since 2011. She has considerable experience obtaining nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for professional workers in a variety of industries.
She has dedicated a portion of her practice to pro bono legal work, and volunteers as an attorney with the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center in York. She is also a member of the Pro Bono Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
“Lauren has demonstrated already in her career that she is dedicated both as an attorney and as a defender of those who otherwise would not have the resources to defend themselves,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “Having her on our team will greatly benefit our business clients who need legal help on immigration matters.”
