Corey is a partner in the firm’s Litigation, Real Estate and Trusts & Estates practice groups. He brings over ten years of experience to the firm representing clients in civil litigation.
The primary focus of Corey’s legal practice is litigation. He assists businesses, institutions and individuals in all phases of the litigation process and he has a thorough and detail-oriented approach to serving each client. Corey represents clients in matters such as collections, defense of a defect, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, contractor litigation and material defects. He has substantial experience working with construction clients including custom home builders. Before joining Barley Snyder, Corey’s litigation practice also included personal injury/auto accidents, workers’ compensation and family law cases.
Corey also serves as the solicitor to municipal authorities, handling a variety of legal issues acting as their general counsel. As part of his real estate practice, Corey assists his residential and commercial clients with agreements of sale and closings. He handles land use and zoning matters, frequently attending zoning meetings and hearings for his municipal clients. In addition to his litigation, real estate and municipal work, Corey assists estate planning clients with document preparation. In 2020 and 2021, Corey was recognized among Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars for his work. While in law school, he worked as a certified legal intern in the Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office.
A Lebanon County native, Corey currently lives in Palmyra with his wife, Becky, and their two children. Passionate for his community, he is actively involved with several associations including Palmyra Civic Baseball as a volunteer, Palmyra Black Knights Hockey as a coach and the Lebanon County Family Law Committee as a member. Corey earned his juris doctor degree from Widener University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Lebanon Valley College where he played baseball and hockey. Ice hockey runs through the Lamoureux family veins, and their last name is well-known in the region as Corey’s father, Mitch Lamoureux, played for the Hershey Bears.
