Kareemah, a Philadelphia-area native, earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was the president of the Student Bar Association, and a managing editor of the University of Pittsburgh Tax Review. While attending law school, Kareemah served as a summer intern for the Honorable Angelo J. Foglietta of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

As a student, she also served on many faculty boards including the faculty diversity committee and the Law School Dean Search Committee. Additionally, Kareemah received the 2018 University of Pittsburgh Student Leadership Award.

In 2013, she also spent a summer studying abroad at the University of Roehampton outside of London, England, helping fuel her love of traveling outside of the United States. Kareemah mentors law students and prospective law students, and enjoys playing golf, softball and running.
