For Immediate Release

Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce the hire of Emily Watkins Marzock as an attorney in its Lancaster office. Attorney Marzock joins the group of more than 40 attorneys based out of our Lancaster office and more than 120 attorneys who work together across our entire footprint.

Marzock will provide service to clients in both Trusts & Estates and Business practice areas.

Marzock received her law degree from the University of Virginia after graduating from Brown University. Following law school, she practiced for several years at the Washington, D.C. office of a large, international law firm, where she provided regulatory counseling to energy and telecom companies and represented them in administrative and judicial matters. In 2016, Marzock moved to Lancaster where, prior to joining Barley, she worked as the Associate Director of Gift Planning at Franklin & Marshall College, a private liberal arts college.

“I learned of Barley’s strong reputation as soon as I moved to Pennsylvania, and I witnessed the expert counsel its attorneys provide to clients in my work with donors to Franklin & Marshall College,” Marzock said. “I am excited to return to practicing law and to do so with such talented attorneys and staff, and I am particularly happy to join a firm that is so committed to strengthening the local community.”

Marzock is active with Lancaster nonprofit organizations, currently serving as a board member and chair of the Planned Giving Committee for The Lancaster Science Factory and as chair of the Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity’s Board & Leadership Gifts Committee.

“Emily’s diverse professional background equips her well to positively impact our clients,” said Barley Snyder Managing Partner Jeff Lobach. “She will be a great fit with our team.”
