Barley Snyder Attorney Boyle Now Teaching at DelVal

For Immediate Release

Reading, Pa. – Taking her knowledge to the classroom to educate the next generation of professionals, Delaware Valley University has named Barley Snyder attorney EmmaRose Boyle an adjunct professor.

Boyle is in her first year of teaching “Legal Issues in Agriculture and Food” in the school’s Masters in Agribusiness program. Boyle is a 2015 alumnae of the school and graduated with a degree in Animal Science, Livestock Science and Management Specialization before she moved on to law school.

Agriculture is in her blood, as she grew up on a small farm and worked on many others, and now lives on her own hobby farm in Berks County.

“Combining two of my passions – the business of agriculture and the law – is a perfect fit for me,” she said. “It’s such an underserved industry legally. It needs specialists who can dedicate their practice to helping these businesses understand and navigate the ever-changing laws and regulations of agribusiness. Hopefully the students I teach will realize this helps farming remain a vital business in the United States.”

Boyle is a member of the Barley Snyder Food & Agribusiness Industry Group, working with clients on compliance issues with state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. She is also a member of the firm’s Business and Trusts & Estates practice groups and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Service Team.

She is on the board of directors for Pennsylvania’s Americana Region, which directs tourism in the Berks County area, and she is also on the board of directors at Berks Community Television, and co-chair of the Policy and Regulation Subcommittee of the Pennsylvania Hemp Steering Committee.
