Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is proud to announce the Lancaster Chamber has bestowed its annual “Exemplar Award” to firm attorney David Keller.
The award, given out since 1987, recognizes a local business or individual who best exemplifies the chamber’s mission, has made significant contributions to the business community and helped improve Lancaster County’s quality of life through private sector enterprise.
Keller is an of counsel at Barley Snyder, and a former managing partner at the firm. Keller has supplemented decades of outstanding work within the Employment and Education practice groups at Barley Snyder with significant community contributions of volunteerism throughout Lancaster County. He has previously served as a board member and chair with Lancaster Chamber, the Lancaster Alliance and the Economic Development Company of Lancaster County.
“I am truly humbled by the chamber’s recognition,” Keller said. “I never set out to win awards for service. I just wanted to try and make Lancaster County a better place to live, work and play not just for my family, but for the entire community. There are hundreds, or even thousands, of people who feel that same way. They are people who work, volunteer and give precious time to the causes that can move this county forward. I am very thankful to the chamber for their recognition of people like me, who have strived to make the community better for the generations that will call it home in the future.”
The Exemplar Award also recognizes someone who has made significant contributions to community organizations and has demonstrated a long-term commitment to the Lancaster community.
The award may be given to a business only, an individual or individuals only, or to both the business and individual or individuals.
