For Immediate Release

Lancaster, Pa. – We note with sadness the passing of one of our former name partners, John T. Barber.

Mr. Barber passed away Friday at the age of 94. He was a name partner at Barley, Snyder, Cooper and Barber, one of the earlier formations of what is now Barley Snyder.

Barber was a Lancaster native and a graduate of both Lancaster Catholic and Franklin & Marshall College.

“Jack Barber was one of the most gracious and kind lawyers and people you could ever find,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “He was the true definition of a gentleman attorney who left an indelible mark on the law in Lancaster County.”

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Lancaster on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
