Barley Snyder Partner Joshua L. Schwartz Named to Fulton Theatre Board

Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner and lifelong performer Joshua Schwartz has been named to the Fulton Theatre Board of Trustees.

The downtown Lancaster arts venue brings in national touring productions and acts as a community engagement vehicle with theater training programs and its Academy of Theatre.

“I believe the Fulton is very important for Lancaster,” Schwartz said. “It brings the city quality, professional productions that are just as good as anything playing in Philadelphia. I’ve always looked to give back in ways that are personally meaningful, and I have a passion for the arts.”

Schwartz is a partner in Barley Snyder’s Employment group and the head of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice. He also devotes a portion of his practice to general litigation.

Schwartz has acted and performed since he was a child, and still acts in about two local productions a year, he said. Recently he’s starred in productions at the Little Theater of Mechanicsburg, Theatre Harrisburg and the Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center. He is a member of the Central Pennsylvania-based sketch comedy troupe Happy Time Explosion Show.

He lives in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, with his wife, Carey Faulkner, and two children. He also is on the board of the Lancaster Public Library and in the spring, Congregation Shaarai Shomayim of Lancaster named him “Congregant of the Year.”
