Barley Snyder Partner Mixell Named to Trust Company Board

Reading, Pa. – Counsel Trust Company has named Barley Snyder Partner Michael L. Mixell to its Board of Directors.

Counsel Trust Company is a trust and wealth management company providing a comprehensive suite of investment advisory, consulting, retirement planning, custody, and fiduciary trust services to individuals and organizations, as well as services to attorneys and independent Registered Investment Advisors, according to its website.

Counsel Trust was formed in 2002 and has 4 offices located in York Pa., Lancaster, Pa., Hanover, Pa., and Nashville, Tenn. Currently, the company has $2.8 billion assets under management and administration, stated Edward S. Crooks, Chairman at Counsel Trust.

“I am extremely excited to bring my 39 years of experience with trusts and estates and corporate planning to the Counsel Trust board of directors as they continue to grow their business,” said Mixell.

Mixell is a member of Barley Snyder’s Business, Trusts & Estates, and Finance & Creditors’ Rights practice groups as well as the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Service Team. He has extensive experience in estate and trust administration as well as mediating complex trust and estates matters, both as counsel for a beneficiary and as counsel for a fiduciary involved in disputes between beneficiaries.
