Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder Partner Randy R. Moyer has been elected to the board of trustees for the Lancaster General Health Foundation, the charitable arm of Lancaster General Health.
Moyer had worked with the foundation for two years previously as a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Board Committee before joining the board late in the summer.
“LG Health is a great organization that does amazing things for the community,” he said. “It’s very humbling to be part of the foundation that will help continue improving our community.”
Moyer is the chair of Barley Snyder’s Personal Planning group, concentrating his practice in complex and simple estate and tax planning as well as estate and trust administration. He’s also on the board of directors at the Lancaster Family YMCA as well as the Eden Bridge Foundation and is a member of the board of supervisors in West Lampeter Township.
The foundation oversees all fundraising activities for LG Health, including gifts made to the Ann. B. Barshinger Cancer Institute, Women & Babies Hospital, the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences and the Heart & Vascular Institute, all in Lancaster. Throughout its history, the foundation has raised more than $80 million for LG Health through philanthropic gifts given from the community. The foundation is governed by a board of trustees comprised of community leaders dedicated to building philanthropic relationships within the community.
