Lancaster, Pa. – Three law students joined Barley Snyder as summer associates in June.  The summer associate program lasts for eight weeks and is designed to give budding attorneys real-life law experience.

Participating in the program are:

• Lauren Hand, a student at Penn State Dickinson Law. The York County native is a graduate of Gettysburg College.
• Caitlin Paterson, from Lancaster County, a second-year law student at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and a graduate of Immaculata University.
• Elizabeth Vanasse, a Lancaster County native, is a second-year student at the University of Richmond School of Law. She is a graduate of William and Mary College.

The Barley Snyder summer associate program offers each participant a well-rounded experience that includes a variety of assignments in numerous practice areas, opportunities to observe various facets of private practice, a chance to attend social activities and events, as well as to gain an understanding of the internal structure of the firm. Barley Snyder is committed to giving back to the legal profession and keeping this program intact even during difficult times. While some firms eliminated summer associate positions during the pandemic, Barley Snyder conducted its program each year to enable eager professionals to glean experience. Each of the participants has since joined the firm.
