For Immediate Release

Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Elizabeth Melamed has been named to the board of directors at A&E Hearing Connection based in Lititz, Pa.

The nonprofit organization helps provide high-quality hearing health care to low-income families that need it “due to lack of social programs,” according to its website. The group relies on community support of grants, donations, corporate sponsorships and volunteers who make the program affordable to low-income families. In return for reduced-cost hearing health care, patients then volunteer at a community organization.

“Being hearing-impaired impacts hundreds of families throughout central Pennsylvania, and many of those families can’t afford the health care that can restore or significantly improve hearing,” Lancaster County resident Melamed said. “And there are precious few organizations like A&E Hearing Connection that specialize in helping those specific families. I’m proud to be part of this organization and its mission.”

Melamed is an associate attorney in the firm’s Litigation and Health Law groups, working in medical malpractice and general litigation. She also practices in the area of cybersecurity.
