For Immediate Release

Harrisburg, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that the Army Heritage Center Foundation has named partner and military veteran Thomas A. French to its board of directors.

The foundation, headquartered on grounds attached to the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pa., serves as the lead agency supporting the development and expansion of the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center. The center’s mission is to preserve the memories of soldiers and their families, honor their service and help educate the American public about the Army’s and its soldiers’ contributions to the nation.

The center includes a museum and a large archive of U.S. Army documents and publications dating back to the Revolutionary War.

French is a veteran, having served as a military attorney in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General Corps as a reserve officer in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. In 2005, he was called to active duty and deployed to Afghanistan to advise commanders on rules of engagement and other military law issues.

“The center is living history in our backyard,” French said. “It contains numerous historical displays, and houses thousands of documents and publications that will preserve the strong history of the U.S. Army for future generations. It’s an honor to help lead this organization into its bright future.”
