Lancaster, PA – The law firm of Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that four education law attorneys and one paralegal will be joining the firm in early November. This addition complements the firm’s current higher education law practice, and adds a new focus on representing public school districts throughout the region. The group was previously part of the School and Municipal Law group of Hartman Underhill and Brubaker.
Joining the firm are lawyers Kim Smith, Robert Frankhouser, William Zee and David Walker and paralegal Aimee Kline. “The group has an unsurpassed reputation in the market and represents marquee clients in the public school arena,” said Jeff Lobach, managing partner for Barley Snyder. “These lawyers have developed one of the premier school law and special education practices in central Pennsylvania and are especially strong in Lancaster County,” Lobach said.
“We are delighted to join Barley Snyder and to have the opportunity to continue to serve our school law clients as a team. The synergies between our team and Barley bring depth and breadth to our school law practice and will be a tremendous benefit to the school entities that we serve through southcentral and central Pennsylvania. We are excited and honored to join Barley,” said Kim Smith, HUB’s managing partner and chair of the School and Municipal Group.
The focus on education law, which includes legal services for public and private educational institutions at all levels throughout Pennsylvania, will increase Barley Snyder’s ability to effectively anticipate and respond to the increasingly complex needs of the firm’s public school and higher education clients.
The firm also recently welcomed Bill McCarty, Kylie Madsen and Jessika Warnick from Hartman Underhill and Brubaker. Bill concentrates his practice in municipal law and governmental bonds, and has been Solicitor for many years to Manheim Township, one of Lancaster County’s largest municipalities. Bill is a well-recognized leader in sophisticated bond transactions. Kylie is an associate focusing her practice in litigation. Jessika is a paralegal focused in real estate law.
