About the Webinar

Date: Tuesday, November 10
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Format: Zoom Webinar

Focus: The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act has created new and often difficult compliance questions for employers. Requests involving leave, attendance, scheduling, remote work, lifting restrictions, and temporary relief from job duties do not always have straightforward answers, particularly in workplaces with significant staffing and operational demands.

Join Jennifer Craighead Carey, Managing Partner and employment attorney at Barley Snyder, for a practical webinar focused on the PWFA issues employers are confronting now. Jennifer will discuss recent developments, documentation requirements, the interactive process, undue hardship and the relationship between the PWFA and other workplace accommodation and leave obligations.

The program will include practical examples from long-term care, healthcare, manufacturing and other workforce-intensive settings, along with concrete steps employers can take to improve compliance and make more defensible accommodation decisions.
