Jack is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Business Practice Groups. His practice focuses on estate planning, where he works with individuals, families and business owners to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to their personal, financial, and tax-planning objectives. Jack’s experience includes advising clients on wealth preservation and asset transfer strategies, addressing state and federal estate tax considerations, and preparing and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. He also works collaboratively with clients’ financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to help ensure their estate plans fit within their broader financial and business goals. Jack values building strong client relationships and developing practical, customized planning strategies that reflect each client’s unique circumstances and long-term objectives.
Before joining Barley Snyder, Jack practiced with a boutique estate planning firm in Annapolis, Maryland. Prior to law school, he worked as a corporate paralegal at a large North Carolina law firm, where he assisted with corporate transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other business matters. This experience provided him with a practical understanding of the legal and operational considerations facing businesses at various stages of growth.
Jack earned his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Law and Policy and was involved with the Trade and Development Clinic, working with socially-conscious startups across Latin America on organizational, governance and funding-related matters. He earned his B.S. in Physics, with a minor in Philosophy, from Davidson College.
Originally from North Carolina, Jack relocated to Lancaster to build his legal practice and make the area his home. Outside of the office, he is an avid car enthusiast and self-taught mechanic. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
