Business/Real Estate Attorney

Barley Snyder, a regional law firm of more than 100 attorneys with eight offices in southcentral Pennsylvania, has an excellent opportunity for an attorney in our Business and Real Estate practice groups.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial attorney interested in developing and maintaining a diverse business practice with immediate, significant client contact. The successful candidate will be a mid-level attorney (5-10 years of experience) with substantial experience in the areas of general business/corporate, mergers and acquisitions and real estate, preferably within a mid-size to large firm setting. Seeking a self-starter with strong analytical and writing skills, strong academic credentials and excellent work ethic. The commitment to live and be involved in one of our larger geographical communities (Berks County preferred) is required. A candidate with ties to the central Pa./Reading community preferred.

Legal Administrative Assistant

Barley Snyder, a regional law firm of more than 100 attorneys, has an excellent opportunity for a legal administrative assistant in our Malvern, Pa., office.  The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years' prior experience in the patent prosecution practice area of law. In this position, you will attend to all aspects of USPTO, PCT and foreign filings, prepare correspondence with clients and foreign agents and manage various projects as assigned.

The following experience and abilities are preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of latest issues/trends regarding US and foreign patent law
  • Knowledge and understanding of USPTO rules and regulations
  • Proficient in preparing all aspects of patent prosecution documents.  You must be a self-starter with problem solving abilities, Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail


Must also have the ability to multi-task and prioritize, work well both independently and as a team member, have excellent software skills as well as excellent grammar proofreading, and have English composition skills.
