Barley Snyder, a regional law firm of more than 130 attorneys, has an excellent opportunity for a Food and Agribusiness Attorney.
We are seeking an experienced attorney with a demonstrated interest and background in food and agribusiness to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of legal practice, with a strong foundation in advising sophisticated clients and managing complex legal matters. This role involves providing strategic legal counsel to clients in the agricultural and food industries. Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, conducting risk assessments, advising on regulatory compliance and permitting, and navigating state, federal, and international oversight frameworks, including, for example, substantial familiarity with the laws, regulations and policies administered by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of – or a genuine interest in developing expertise in – local, national, and global food and agricultural systems. The ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with clients and provide proactive, business-minded legal guidance is essential.
