Gettysburg, Pa. – Barley Snyder announces the hire of Robert L. McQuaide, a Gettysburg attorney with more than four decades of experience in the Adams County area.
McQuaide, who joined the more than 90-attorney law firm on July 1, will be part of the firm’s Education and Personal Planning practice groups and will remain based out of Gettysburg. He has served as the solicitor of Gettysburg Area School District as well as the Upper Adams School District since the 1970s. He also has served as a special counsel dozens of times for at least 10 school districts in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and York counties.
A mainstay in one of Pennsylvania’s most historic areas, McQuaide has been practicing law in Gettysburg since 1975 and opened his own firm in 1999 in the bustling downtown.

His hiring is a strategic move to help Barley Snyder further expand in the Gettysburg and Adams County areas. The firm expects to have additional Gettysburg expansion details in the coming weeks.
