Sophie Miller is an associate in Barley Snyder’s Real Estate Practice Group. She assists clients with a range of commercial and residential real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions and sales, easements, title review, land use and zoning, closings, and condominium and planned community development. Her experience also includes landlord-tenant matters, boundary disputes, and other real estate litigation matters.
Sophie has assisted clients with real estate transactions from initial document review through closing, as well as zoning and land use matters involving property owners, developers and municipalities. In addition, she has experience with the title and settlement process, giving her a practical understanding of the issues that can arise throughout a real estate transaction.
Before joining Barley Snyder, Sophie practiced real estate law at a mid-size law firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region where she concentrated on commercial real estate, land use, and planned community and condominium development matters. While earning her law degree, she served as a legal extern with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel and as a summer associate with a York-based law firm.
Prior to law school, Sophie worked for a settlement services company, assisting with real estate closings and settlement preparation. She is also a licensed title agent and certified notary public.
Sophie earned her J.D., cum laude, from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and her B.S. in Economics and Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Outside the office, the Camp Hill native enjoys reading, working out, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family.
