Josh is a partner in the firm's Litigation Group and leads the firm's Injunction practice group. He maintains an active civil and commercial litigation practice, representing a variety of clients in both state and federal courts. Josh specializes in contract disputes, business torts, creditor’s rights and collections, premises liability, restrictive covenant and ejectment actions. Josh also has extensive appellate experience and has served as local counsel in complex litigation matters in both Lancaster County and U.S. District Courts.

Josh’s recent experience includes:

  • Served as second chair representing a tenant against landlord/owner during a four-week, multi-million dollar arbitration arising out of campus development and construction project.
  • Represented a large non-profit veterans’ organization in a declaratory judgment and injunctive relief action, obtaining an emergency injunction and stipulated order returning real and personal property seized by the state-level organization.
  • Represented a national financial institution in debt collection and fraudulent transfer actions.
  • Defended a major regional health care entity in multiple premises liability actions.
  • Represented several local businesses in breach of contract and debt collection actions.

Prior to joining the firm, Josh served as Captain and Trial Counsel with the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps and as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, where he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony criminal trials. Prior to college, Josh served as an Airborne Ranger and rifle team leader with the elite 3rd Ranger Battalion and the 25th Infantry Division (Hawaii), deploying for Operation Uphold Democracy and the subsequent U.N. Mission in Haiti in 1995.
