Reading, Pa. – Barley Snyder attorney Beth M. Kohl has been elected President of The Friends of Reading Hospital.

For over 130 years, The Friends of Reading Hospital has helped further Reading Hospital’s mission of providing accessible and high-quality healthcare to the community, promoting healthy lifestyles, educating healthcare professionals, and participating in clinical research. The volunteer organization hosts various fundraising events throughout the year, using the proceeds to award grants to programs and services within the hospital and the community. Kohl is no stranger to the organization, originally joining the group in 2015. She served as chair of the Reading Hospital Road Run committee for several years and currently sits on the Advisory Committee.

“I am honored to serve as President for the next two years, following many dedicated and talented leaders who have kept this organization vibrant for more than a century,” said Kohl. “I look forward to collaborating with the incredible members of The Friends of Reading Hospital to continue to improve the quality of healthcare within our community.”

Kohl is a member of Barley Snyder’s Real Estate, Construction and Land Use practice groups. She regularly represents private and public clients in land use and zoning matters, municipal law, and real estate transactions. She is both a member of the Pennsylvania and Berks County Bar Associations. In addition to her leadership roles with The Friends of Reading Hospital, she serves on the board of directors of Berks Nature.
