Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Keith Mooney has been named the president of the board of directors of the Berks Arts Council in Reading.

The nonprofit Berks Arts Council holds a number of high-profile events and concerts throughout the year in Berks County, including the Berks Jazz Fest, the Reading Blues Fest, various educational programs and the Pagoda Awards, which honor Berks residents that have exceptionally impacted the county’s arts community.

Mooney has served on the board of directors for eight years, and recently finished a term as the board’s vice president.

“The Berks Arts Council is one of the county’s most rigorous supporter of the arts,” Mooney said. “And when the arts scene is vibrant, it improves the community and enhances its economic viability. It’s an honor to be the president of the board of such an important Berks County group.”

Mooney is a member of Barley Snyder’s Employment, Business and Real Estate practice groups, as well as the Municipal & Municipal Authority and Construction practice groups. He works around Berks County as a municipal solicitor and is the former solicitor for the City of Reading.
