For Immediate Release

Gettysburg, Pa. – Barley Snyder, one of central Pennsylvania’s largest law firms, opened an office in downtown Gettysburg about one year ago. The firm is now expanding in one of Pennsylvania’s most historic towns, more than tripling the size of its office in the Adams County seat.

The expansion of the firm’s presence in Gettysburg allows for the hiring of additional attorneys and staff at the 3,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art office at 123 Baltimore St.

The Gettysburg move comes shortly after longtime Gettysburg attorney Robert L. McQuaide joined the firm.

“This was part of our plan from the start when we came to Gettysburg, to hire attorneys and allow room to expand further,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “We’ve hired our first attorney that will be in Gettysburg full-time, so expanding our office for him, his assistant and for additional hiring is the logical move.”

McQuaide, a member of Barley Snyder’s Education and Personal Planning practice groups, has moved into the new office as of Oct. 15. The office is around the corner from the Adams County Courthouse and a just over a one-block walk from the downtown’s busy square.

“In my short time at Barley Snyder, I have seen how serious the firm is about establishing a presence in Gettysburg that will benefit the community,” McQuaide said. “Joining Barley Snyder has allowed me to tap into the firm’s vast resources throughout central Pennsylvania and to bring my clients services that might not have been available to them in the past. It’s been nothing but positives since I joined Barley Snyder.”

McQuaide’s recent hire adds a new, local aspect to Barley Snyder’s current success in Adams County, as he is the longtime solicitor for both the Gettysburg Area and Upper Adams school districts.

“The success we’ve seen in Gettysburg has been tremendous, and it necessitated a bigger team and a bigger base of operations in Adams County,” Lobach said. “This new office is a strategic move to accommodate both of those goals.”
