Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce managing partner Jennifer Craighead Carey has been named to Central Penn Business Journal’s 2024 Power Law List.
The CPBJ Power Law List is comprised of the region’s most significant, impactful, and respected leaders in the legal industry. The annual list recognizes those who shape and influence our communities through legal and political foundations, paving the way for future innovation and success. The honorees were selected by the CPBJ editorial leadership team along with input from readers and community members.

Craighead Carey has been part of Barley Snyder for nearly 30 years. As managing partner, she oversees the operations and long-term planning of the firm. As a member of the firm’s Employment Practice Group, Craighead Carey concentrates her practice in the areas of management side labor and employment law. A testament to her legal acumen, she has been named to the annual Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list consecutively since 2010. In 2023, Craighead Carey was honored as a Millersville University Marvelous Marauder, an inaugural program recognizing alumni who have demonstrated dedication, professional achievement, excellence and a commitment to staying engaged with the institution after graduating.
Outside of the firm, Craighead Carey dedicates her time to community service. She currently serves on the board of directors for Lancaster City Alliance and the Attollo-Children Deserve a Chance Foundation and as a member of the Millersville University College of Arts and Social Sciences Advisory Board, in addition to numerous other roles.
