Malvern, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce it has been named “Intellectual Property Law Firm of the Year in Pennsylvania” as part of The Lawyer Network Annual Awards 2026.
The international publication recognized Barley Snyder for the strength of its Intellectual Property Practice Group, highlighting the firm’s technical knowledge, strategic counsel and commitment to helping clients protect and maximize the value of their innovations.
The Lawyer Network award winners are selected following a rigorous process that includes thousands of nominations, independent research and review by editorial teams. Finalists are shortlisted in each category before an independent award panel selects the winner in each jurisdiction and practice area.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from The Lawyer Network,” said Joseph R. Falcon III, partner and chair of Barley Snyder’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. “This award reflects the dedication of our entire intellectual property team and our commitment to helping clients protect, manage and leverage their most valuable innovations and brands. We are grateful for the trust our clients place in us every day.”
Salvatore Anastasi, a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and president of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), added, “It is especially gratifying to see our team’s work recognized on an international stage. Intellectual property plays a critical role in our clients’ success, and we are proud to help innovators, creators and businesses safeguard their ideas and compete in an increasingly complex global marketplace.”
In its award profile, The Lawyer Network noted Barley Snyder’s comprehensive intellectual property capabilities, including patent preparation and prosecution, trademark registration, copyright protection, licensing and litigation. The publication also highlighted the firm’s ability to combine legal and technical experience to advise clients in industries such as electronics, communications, software development, medical devices and advanced manufacturing.
The publication further recognized Anastasi’s leadership within the intellectual property profession, spotlighting his service as president of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). A registered patent attorney with more than two decades of experience, Anastasi was elected president of the AIPLA in 2025 and assists clients with all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, litigation and strategic portfolio development.
Falcon is also actively engaged with the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section, where he serves on the ABA-IPL Section Council and in several other roles.
