For Immediate Release

Malvern, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Salvatore Anastasi has been named to the board of directors at the Brandywine Regional Airport in Chester County.

The airport opened in 1939 as the West Chester Airport. It is now a public-use, privately run airport owned by a co-op of local pilots.

Anastasi holds a pilot’s license and is a user of the airport.

“The Brandywine Regional Airport is an essential part of the transportation infrastructure system of Chester County and the entire Philadelphia region,” Anastasi said. “Hundreds of planes from across the country arrive and depart at the airport each year, moving traffic and people to support local business and commerce. I am happy to help guide the future of the airport.”

Anastasi is the chair of the Barley Snyder Intellectual Property Practice Group. He is the treasurer and a member of the board of directors of the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA). He also is an AIPLA Fellow and is a member of the organization’s Patent Harmonization Task Force. The group strives to improve both procedural and substantive patent rules/laws around the world. Locally, Anastasi is a board member at the Chester County Bar Foundation and the Chester County Bar Association.
