Reading, Pa. – Barley Snyder is proud to announce that partner Kevin A. Moore has been recognized as the 2025 Distinguished Alumni recipient by Berks Catholic High School. Moore received the award during the school’s annual EXTRAVAGANZA Dinner & Fundraising event held on Friday, October 3.
The Distinguished Alumni Award honors graduates who have demonstrated exceptional professional achievements and significant contributions to their communities. Moore, a 1985 graduate of Holy Name High School, a predecessor to Berks Catholic, was recognized for his professional accomplishments as well as his longstanding commitment to Catholic education in Berks County.
“Receiving this award from Berks Catholic is a tremendous honor,” said Moore. “My years as a student, parent and volunteer at Holy Name and Berks Catholic have had a lasting impact on my life. I’m grateful to be able to give back to a community and a school that helped shape me, our children, and generations of students, both personally and professionally.”
Moore is member the firm’s Employment and Litigation practice groups and chairs the Labor Law Practice Team, helping clients with legal challenges in employment and labor law and working as counsel for businesses in litigation. He also serves as a Federal Court Arbitrator, Berks County Court Arbitrator and Discovery Master, and is a past chair of the Berks County Bar Association’s (BCBA) Employment Law Section. Moore is a member of the St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Allentown as well as the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Berks County.
Beyond his professional practice, Moore has devoted significant time and leadership to Catholic education and youth development in the region. His contributions include serving as coordinator of the Berks County CYO Declamation Contest, judge for the National Catholic Forensic League’s state and national competitions, and presenter for the Berks County Bar Association’s “Stepping Out” program. He also co-founded the Holy Name/Berks Catholic Performing Arts Parents Association, helped lead fundraising for Holy Name baseball facility upgrades, and with his wife, Susan, co-chaired the 2013 EXTRAVAGANZA event. Furthermore, he is a past Board Member and Vice Chair of the Berks Catholic Advisory Board. Moore continues to serve as Solicitor of the School.
The event was attended by numerous attorneys from Barley Snyder’s Reading office, who joined in celebrating Moore’s well-deserved recognition.
“Kevin has been an exceptional leader and mentor for both the legal and Catholic communities in Berks County,” said Thad M. Gelsinger, a 2001 graduate of Holy Name High School, a member of the Berks Catholic High School Board, and partner at Barley Snyder. “It’s inspiring to see his dedication and contributions recognized with this well-deserved award.”
