Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that partner Lauralee B. Baker has been named chair of the firm’s Health Care Industry Group. Baker brings more than 35 years of trial and regulatory experience to the role, reinforcing the firm’s long-standing commitment to providing strategic legal counsel to the health care sector.
Baker focuses her practice on representing health care providers – including hospitals, physicians and nurses – in medical malpractice defense litigation and in proceedings before state regulatory agencies. A veteran trial attorney, she has tried more than 60 jury cases to verdict, with the vast majority resulting in favorable outcomes for her clients.
Her background as a registered nurse, combined with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, provides a unique clinical perspective that informs her legal strategy. In addition to her litigation defense work, Baker regularly counsels health care clients on compliance and risk management, helping them navigate the complex regulatory environment while minimizing exposure to liability.
