Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Paul G. Mattaini has been named a “Lawyer of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America® in its 31st edition. Mattaini was designated as the 2025 “Lawyer of the Year” in “Mergers and Acquisitions Law” in the Harrisburg metro area.
The Best Lawyers’ 31st edition continues its annual tradition of honoring outstanding legal professionals across the United States. The “Lawyer of the Year” honors are awarded annually to one lawyer per practice area in each region based on feedback from peers.
Barley Snyder maintains a sophisticated M&A practice through a team of attorneys with considerable expertise and experience in transactional matters, both within and outside of the firm’s geographic footprint. Mattaini has practiced at Barley Snyder for 30 years; prior to Barley Snyder, he was a partner at Devine, Millimet & Branch in Manchester, New Hampshire. The “Lawyer of the Year” honor is among other recognitions Mattaini has received during his career. He has earned an “AV Preeminent” Martindale-Hubbell rating and a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers selection in the M&A area in addition to being named to the Best Lawyers list numerous times in the areas of M&A, Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Law and Securities/Capital Markets Law. Mattaini was previously named a “Lawyer of the Year” for “Banking and Finance Law” in the Best Lawyers’ 2020 edition. He has also been recognized with the Champion for Women Award by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
