Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that Evdoxia (“Xia”) Madonis has joined the firm as an associate in its Business Practice Group, based in the firm’s Lancaster office.

Madonis advises clients on a variety of corporate and business matters, drawing on experience with complex transactions, corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance, and contract drafting and negotiation. She joins Barley after practicing at an AmLaw 100 law firm in New York City, where she worked on sophisticated capital markets and corporate transactions. Prior to her legal career, Madonis worked in Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit Department, focusing on credit risk, operational risk and wealth management matters.

A Lancaster County native and graduate of Manheim Township High School, Madonis returned to her hometown after living and working in New York City for several years.

Madonis earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law, where she served as a research assistant focusing on corporate compliance and enforcement matters, was a staff editor and publications committee member of the Journal of Law & Business, and interned with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Division of Enforcement. She received her B.S. in Applied Accounting & Finance, magna cum laude, from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.
