Evdoxia (Xia) Madonis is an associate in Barley Snyder’s Business Practice Group. She advises clients on a variety of corporate and business matters, drawing on experience with complex transactions, corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance and contract drafting and negotiation.
Xia has experience representing public and private companies in a broad range of transactional and corporate matters, including debt and equity offerings, securitization transactions and securities law compliance. She has assisted clients with corporate governance matters and Securities Act and Exchange Act reporting obligations, including the preparation and review of SEC filings, and has supported complex transactions through document drafting and negotiation, diligence review and transaction management.
Prior to joining Barley Snyder, Xia practiced at an AmLaw 100 law firm in New York City, where she worked on sophisticated capital markets and corporate transactions. Xia’s legal experience is complemented by a strong business and financial background.
Before attending law school, she worked in Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit Department, where she focused on credit risk, operational risk and wealth management matters.
While attending New York University School of Law, Xia served as a research assistant focusing on corporate compliance and enforcement matters and was a staff editor and publications committee member of the Journal of Law & Business. She also interned with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Division of Enforcement, where she assisted with investigations and regulatory research.
Born and raised in Lancaster County, Xia is a graduate of Manheim Township High School. After moving to New York City for college, law school and the start of her professional career, she returned to her hometown. In her free time, Xia enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and family.
