Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce it has hired three law students to participate in its 2024 summer associate program. This eight-week program is designed to provide aspiring attorneys with real-life law experiences.

Participating in the program are:

• Timothy Azizkhan is a second-year law student at Penn State Dickinson Law and is also pursuing his MBA from Penn State Harrisburg. The Cumberland County native is a graduate of Gettysburg College.
• Jermaine Jones is a second-year law student at Washington and Lee University School of Law. The Bethlehem, Pa. native is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
• Emma L. Romig is a second-year law student at Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University. The Lancaster County native is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh.

“We are excited to bring on board yet another group of talented and ambitious students for our summer associate program,” said Jennifer Craighead Carey, managing partner of Barley Snyder. “This opportunity will provide them with versatile and hands-on learning experiences from successful attorneys across our footprint and various areas of the law.”

During the program, Azizkhan, Jones and Romig will be given the chance to take part in a variety of assignments, attend firm meetings and external events, and receive mentorship from attorneys across eight practice groups, ten industry groups and four service teams. Barley Snyder’s time-honored tradition aims to encourage young professionals as they embark on their legal career paths.   

“This is an invaluable opportunity for law students to get a glimpse into what life is like as a full-time attorney,” said partner Alexander Puskar who chairs the firm’s summer associate program and is a former Barley Snyder summer associate. “This program was a fundamental building block in my professional development, and I am proud to welcome the newest group of summer associates to the firm.”
