LANCASTER, Pa. – Barley Snyder partner Daniel T. Desmond was named to the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Safety Coalition.
The Lancaster Safety Coalition is a non-profit organization that supports the effectiveness and efficiency of emergency services through its network of safety cameras, which serve as an effective crime deterrent and problem-solving tool for local law enforcement and other emergency services in the City of Lancaster. A pioneering citizen-driven model, the Lancaster Safety Coalition draws interest from communities across the United States and internationally for its cost-effective approach to public safety.
“Dan’s leadership skills and commitment to client service in his professional life fit perfectly in his role on the Board of Directors,” Barley Snyder managing partner Jeff Lobach said. “He will excel at serving constituents of the Lancaster Safety Coalition, just as he excels in his law practice.”
Desmond practices in the firm’s Business, Finance & Creditors’ Rights, Real Estate, and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups. A Lancaster native, Desmond regularly provides mergers and acquisitions, general business law, corporate governance and other types of business and finance transaction services. His clients range from small and family-owned businesses and start-ups and entrepreneurs to public companies, financial institutions, non-profits, and government clients.
In addition to his involvement with the Lancaster Safety Coalition, Desmond is active in the community, having served on the boards of Lancaster Creative Factory and Bent Creek Country Club.

A magna cum laude graduate of Millersville University, Desmond received his J.D. from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. He also is a 2002 graduate of J.P. McCaskey, a 2015 graduate of Leadership Lancaster and coaches for Manheim Township Girls Youth Lacrosse and other youth sports organizations.
