Harrisburg, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Kevin Koscil has joined the firm as a partner, effective Jan. 1.
Koscil is a member of the firm’s Trust & Estates and Tax practice groups, and comes to Barley Snyder after more than a decade of experience in estate planning and corporate tax work at a Philadelphia-area law firm.
He will work with clients throughout central Pennsylvania, Schuylkill County and the Lehigh Valley. This is a return home for the Schuylkill County native, who will be based out of the Harrisburg office and also work in the firm’s new Schuylkill Haven office.
“I’ve always felt at home in this area,” Koscil said. “I’m looking forward to being back in central Pennsylvania full-time, and working with the businesses and clients that have shaped this region’s economy for decades. My family and I are looking forward to reconnecting with the community, helping to move it forward and preserving it for the next generation.”
Koscil graduated from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law after earning two degrees (Master of Science in Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration) from the University of Notre Dame. Super Lawyers has named him a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
While living and working in the Philadelphia area, Koscil volunteered for Philadelphia VIP, an organization that provides free legal service to clients facing legal challenges that threaten their housing, family or income. The group named him its “Volunteer of the Month” in December 2016.
