Lancaster, Pa. – Two attorneys at Barley Snyder graduated from their respective county leadership programs this spring.

Peter Faben graduated from Leadership Lancaster, one of a host of Barley Snyder attorneys and staff that have completed the course since the first graduates in 1984. The group’s mission is to develop outstanding community leadership to support the needs of Lancaster County, according to its website.

Faben is an associate in the firm’s Health Law and Litigation groups, and is a member of the board of directors at Advoz in Lancaster County. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.

“The Leadership Lancaster program has given me a deeper understanding of the connection between the business community and the nonprofit organizations that provide different services to the region that otherwise might not be available,” Faben said. “It was a privilege to be part of this program and part of this graduating class.”

Associate Kevin Myhre graduated from Leadership Chester County, a professional development and service engagement opportunity designed to foster a vibrant, safe and inclusive community, according to its website.

Myhre is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and he is based out of the firm’s Malvern office. He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he was a patent examiner before coming to Barley Snyder. He is a graduate of Boston University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia included a major of aerospace engineering.

“Leadership Chester County has opened my eyes to both the needs and the strengths of the communities in Chester County,” Myhre said. “The course provided a series of very knowledgeable, dynamic presenters who offered a range of tools for effectively serving on a nonprofit board.”

Barley Snyder is a sponsor of both leadership programs.
