York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorney Justin Tomevi has been appointed to the board of supervisors in Springettsbury Township in York County.
The township’s leadership tapped Tomevi to the position after a supervisor recently resigned from the board. Out of four candidates vying for the position, the supervisors unanimously selected Tomevi to fill out that term, which will expire Dec. 31, 2019. Tomevi was sworn in to take over on the board at a Sept. 27 ceremony. The board of supervisors is the governing body that oversees operation of the township.
The near-lifelong resident of the township worked for its Parks and Recreation Department during college. At 31 years old, Tomevi is one of the youngest supervisors in township history.
Tomevi is becoming a supervisor at a critical time for the township as it has recently been awarded a mini-casino site at its York Galleria Mall. The township also is considering some major infrastructure projects.
“Springettsbury Township is one of the most dynamic areas of York County,” he said. “The township is a leader among local municipalities in being thoughtful about the interplay between its residents, businesses and visitors. Many exciting things are happening in the township and I am glad to be a part of it.”
Tomevi is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. In addition to his Springettsbury Township work, he is vice chair of the York Legal Record Publication Board. He is a graduate of Leadership York and is an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, Eastern University.
