Lancaster, Pa. – Barley Snyder has announced several changes to its internal governance committees effective January 1.

The firm’s management committee, which guides Barley Snyder’s strategic direction and oversees major operational decisions, continues to be led by Jennifer Craighead Carey. She was recently reelected as managing partner and CEO and began a new two-year term in 2026.

Partner Joseph R. Falcon, III has joined the management committee for his first term, succeeding partner Troy B. Rider. Falcon, a registered U.S. Patent and Trademark Office patent attorney, has also been named chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, taking over from partner Salvatore Anastasi, who led the group for many years. Falcon brings significant leadership experience through his involvement with the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section.

Partner Thomas J. Nehilla has also joined the management committee for his first term, replacing partner Kimberly J. Decker. Nehilla is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Business and Finance & Creditors’ Rights practice groups, where he focuses on  structuring, negotiating, and executing business and real estate transactions.

Falcon and Nehilla will serve alongside incumbent members: Jeremy D. Frey and John T. Reed. Reed has been reelected to a second term on the committee.

“We are thrilled to welcome Joe and Tom to the firm’s management committee. Their leadership and vision will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our clients,” said Craighead Carey. “We are also excited to welcome John back for his second consecutive term and recognize Jeremy for his ongoing contributions. Finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to Troy, Kim and Sal for their many years of dedicated service and significant contributions to the firm.”
