Lancaster, Pa. – The Central Penn Business Journal has named Barley Snyder attorney Elizabeth L. Melamed to its annual Forty Under 40 list.

Forty Under 40 recognizes professionals 40 years of age and younger who have been successful in the central Pennsylvania area. Honorees, chosen by the Central Penn Business Journal editors, were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service and commitment to inspiring change.

“I’m honored that the Central Penn Business Journal has included me on this prestigious list for 2022 along with so many other talented and dedicated professionals in our community,” Melamed said. “I extend my congratulations to the fellow honorees.”

Melamed is an associate in the firm’s Litigation and Health Care groups, basing her practice around medical malpractice defense and cybersecurity. Her dedication to providing superior legal service has been recognized by her peers, being named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars for the past three years in a row (2022, 2021, 2020). Outside the firm, Melamed is very active in the community, currently serving on the board of directors for the American Heart Association – Lancaster Division and the Boys and Girls Club of Lancaster.

“As the chair of our Health Care Industry group, I have worked with Elizabeth closely over the past six years and witnessed her professional growth, exceptional work ethic and client service,” said Partner Kathy Kravitz. “Her contributions to our firm and the community as whole make her very deserving of this award.”

The winners will be honored on Oct. 19 at a celebration from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton Harrisburg located at One North Second Street in Harrisburg.
