Lancaster and Malvern, Pa. – Barley Snyder is pleased to announce that attorneys Kevin C. Myhre and John “J.” Quain have been named to the Central Penn Business Journal’s 2025 Forty Under 40 list.
The CPBJ Forty Under 40 awards recognize the future leaders of Central Pennsylvania, under the age of 40, who are achieving success in their careers and giving back in meaningful ways to the community. Honorees were selected by a panel of previous recipients and the Central Penn Business Journal leadership team based on professional accomplishments and community service.
Patent Attorney Kevin Myhre Named to CPBJ’s Forty Under 40
Kevin C. Myhre is a seasoned patent attorney and partner in Barley Snyder’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, where he advises clients on patent application preparation and prosecution, trademark matters, and litigation. His prior experience as a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent examiner gives him unique insight into the complexities of intellectual property law.
Myhre also plays a leadership role in advancing internal innovation at the firm as the Practice Excellence® Chair, guiding the implementation of Lean process improvements. His civic engagement includes serving as Vice Chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Patent Law Committee, Chair of the Chester County Bar Association’s IP Law Section, and as a board member for the West Chester Area Education Foundation.
“It’s an honor to be recognized among such accomplished professionals,” said Myhre. “This award is a reflection of the supportive colleagues and mentors who have shaped my journey – and it deepens my commitment to meaningful, purpose-driven work in both my profession and community.”
Litigator John “J.” Quain Named to CPBJ’s Forty Under 40
John “J.” Quain is an experienced attorney in Barley Snyder’s Litigation and Finance & Creditors’ Rights practice groups. His practice spans a wide range of litigation and appellate matters, as well as bankruptcy and regulatory compliance issues.
Quain is deeply involved in community service, currently serving as a board member of the Dauphin County Bar Association and Chair of its Young Lawyers Section. He is also a board member of the Spanish American Civic Association and board secretary and legal counsel for the Historic Harrisburg Association. In recognition of his pro bono service, Quain received the “Light of Liberty Pro Bono Attorney” award from the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center (PIRC) in 2022, honoring his commitment to advancing justice for vulnerable populations.
“Being named to the Forty Under 40 list is a tremendous honor,” said Quain. “It reinforces the importance of using our legal training not only to serve clients, but also to uplift and support the communities we live in.”
The 2025 Forty Under 40 honorees will be recognized at an awards celebration on Monday, October 27 at 4:30 p.m. at the Hilton Harrisburg. To view the full list of honorees, visit: www.cpbj.com/event/forty-under-40.
