York, Pa. – Barley Snyder is proud to announce that partner Paul W. Minnich has been officially elected as a Judge of the York County Court of Common Pleas in the general election on November 4, 2025.

Minnich’s election was effectively secured following his primary victory where he won both the Democratic and Republican nominations. The general election officially confirms his transition from a distinguished career in private practice to public service on the bench.

“The trust the citizens of York County have placed in me through this process is profoundly humbling. I am incredibly honored and ready to serve the people of York County as a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas,” said Minnich. “I am also grateful for the invaluable experience and support I gained throughout my career at Barley Snyder, which has provided a strong foundation for this new chapter of public service. I look forward to dedicating myself to the judiciary and upholding the principles of justice for our community.”

Minnich has been a valued partner in Barley Snyder’s Litigation Practice Group, where he built a formidable reputation in complex commercial, real estate, and fiduciary litigation across state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and Maryland. During the course of his 31-year career at the firm, Minnich served on the firm’s management committee and chaired the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

A proud York native, Minnich’s commitment to the region extends beyond his legal practice, as evidenced by his service as a board member of WellSpan Health and his past leadership roles with organizations including TrueNorth Wellness Services, Crossroads Counseling and Education Services, Inc., and the York County Bar Foundation.

“Paul’s official election is a tremendous achievement and a testament to his dedication, experience and reputation in the York legal community,” said Jennifer Craighead Carey, Barley Snyder’s managing partner. “While his presence at Barley Snyder will be deeply missed, we congratulate him heartily on this successful campaign and wish him the very best as he embarks on this meaningful new chapter of public service to the county.”

Minnich will be sworn into office and officially begin his 10-year term on the first Monday of January 2026.
