Alex is an associate in the firm’s Business and Trusts & Estates practice groups, having earned his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his LL.M. in taxation from Villanova University School of Law.
In Alex’s business practice, he works with corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies on a variety of organizational matters, such as entity formation, compliance, contract review, tax planning and business succession planning. Alex also works with nonprofit organizations in their formation, filing for tax exempt status and general governance issues. Alex’s business practice also includes extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions, including assisting clients with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).
In Alex’s estate planning practice, Alex assists clients with drafting both complex and simple estate plans that include wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts and powers of attorney for both finance and health care needs. Alex also represents clients in various Orphans’ Court matters, including guardianships, wills contests and issues regarding fiduciaries.
Alex is a former summer associate at Barley Snyder, and is a member of the firm’s summer associate program recruiting committee. He also is the captain of the firm's softball team, which won the Lancaster Professionals League in both 2017 and 2018. Alex is a native of Lancaster County and a graduate of Hempfield High School.
