For Immediate Release

York, Pa. – A fifth Barley Snyder attorney is now licensed to practice law in Maryland as Justin Tomevi has received confirmation that he passed the state’s bar exam and is admitted to practice law in the state.

Tomevi, based in Barley Snyder’s York office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Barley Snyder is making a concerted effort to have more firm attorneys licensed to practice in the state since many of the firm’s Pennsylvania clients are expanding there.

“The northern Maryland market is thriving, and it is important to our firm to be able to help our clients who do business across state lines,” Tomevi said. “I’m happy to now be able to offer that kind of help in Maryland.”

Barley Snyder attorneys Derek Dissinger and Joseph Schalk were admitted to practice in Maryland in 2017. Partner Paul Minnich and attorney Lindsey Cook have been licensed to practice law in Maryland for years.

In September, the firm opened its second office in Maryland, in Columbia, to supplement its office in Hunt Valley which opened in 2014.

“With Justin licensed in Maryland, it continues to make us more diverse and nimble in the market,” said Minnich, one of the firm’s driving forces for its Maryland expansion. “We’ve heard the call from our clients and friends as to how important it is to follow them into Maryland, and adding Justin to our Maryland roster helps that effort.”

In addition to his work at the firm, Tomevi was appointed to the Springettsbury Township Board of Supervisors this past September. He is also the vice chair of the York Area United Fire and Rescue Commission, and an adjunct faculty member for Eastern University’s MBA program.
